Leftwing of South America

Description

Until the 31st Uruquay was a pro-american, dead-end double-party rule, but then came Tabare Vasquez, a cancer doctor and former mayor of Montevideo and united the oposition, the coalition of Frente Amplio and they took away the control from the capitalist bastards who ruled the country. Vasquez is the latest in a number of centrum-leftwing government leaders in South America to stand up and refuse to be controlled by the capitalist agenda forced unto them from the north. Also Castro of Cuba (i know it's not on the Wallpaper, sorry), Chavez of Venezuela, Kirchner of Argentina and Lula of Brazil has stod up before him. Even Chile who is otherwise known to be economical dependant of the States refused to participate in the invasion of Iraq.

This new movement in South America goes to show how the fundamental and historical flaws of American foreign politics. Their strategy to bully Castro and the new Hugo 'bad boy' Chavez backfired, even when they supported a coup d'etat against the latter in 2002. The narrowmindedness of the Americans in terms of the political abilites of Bush og Rice make it seem less than likely, that America once again should control South America in a near future. hopefully not ever. Another sign of liberation from the states is the strengthened ties in terms of tradeagreements between Europe and South America (in you face FTAA).

One of the first things that Vasquez is going to do as a president is going to the middle-east and india to strengthen his diplomatic ties. As this happens the American Pride is turned into Impotent Fury in the white house. It can't be pretty.
